2005 Events
On
Monday, September 26, 2005, the Lawyer Assistance Trust
will sponsor a day-long conference in New York City to address
the challenges that women lawyers face and to discuss how
to improve the quality of life in the legal profession.
Co-sponsors include the Women's Bar Association of the State
of New York; the New York State Bar Association's Committee
on Women in the Law and the Special Committee on Balanced
Lives in the Law; the NYSBA Lawyer Assistance Program and
its Committee; the Committee on Women in the Profession
of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; the
New York City Lawyer Assistance Program.
Pre-registration is advised. The registration fee prior
to Wednesday, August 31 is $40; law students, $25.
After August 31, the fee is $50; law students, $35.
Lawyers and students with a financial hardship may request
a discount or scholarship by contacting LAT Director Barbara
Smith at (518) 285-4548.
The program has been approved for 4.5 CLE hours
in Practice management.
